Strength Movements to Increase Vertical Jump

Many athletes want to know how to increase their vertical jump. You may think it all has to do with your legs and getting them stronger. But, really, most of the power required for jumping comes from our posterior chain: our hips, glutes, lower back, calves, hamstrings all come into play when jumping.

While performing jumping exercises like box jumps and hurdle jumps help, there are other exercises we neglect, which focus on strengthening those muscles required when jumping.
